It's been a few months since ASUS MeMO Pad ME172V-A1-GR 7.0-Inch 16 GB tablet was released in the market, and it has already garnered some much-needed attention from the tablet loving crowd. It was announced in early January this year and was released soon afterwards. The tablet features respectable specs, allows for memory expansion through microSD card and is also priced decently.

The MeMO Pad from Asus is really small at just 7-inch and can be carried around easily. The design is simple and functional from a user's point of view. It is a steal compared to the Nexus 7 since it can be bought for almost half the price. Moreover, Asus also manufactures the Nexus 7; hence it has the same excellent build quality. It is a bit heavier than the Nexus 7, but also feels much sturdier.

The performance is decent for the price you pay, and it runs almost all the apps with no issues. The user interface is quick and responsive, while the tablet is powerful enough to run apps like Flipboard and Google Drive without breaking any sweat. The best part about owning this tablet is the fact that you can extend its memory through the use of a microSD card; you can add up to 32 GB of memory to the tablet. This makes it easier to store multimedia files and other documents. Multitasking can be a little trickier on this tablet, but if you restrict yourself to two or three apps, then there's no need to worry.

The screen is a bit glossy, but it can be overlooked if you're using it mostly indoors. Also, it is not as crisp as the screen in Nexus 7, but for the price you pay it is really worth it. Some may find the plastic body unappealing, but it is really sturdy and can take a lot of beating. The front-camera is below average, but that is to be expected in any tablet; it's decent enough to make video calls and take quick portrait shots in bright conditions.

With this tablet you will also get a 5GB ASUS Webstorage, which allows you to easily store your files online. This is a great feature for business owners who work from multiple locations with different computers. You won't need to remind yourself all the time to copy your updated files from the office computer back home, or the other way round. You could save your often used files online to the webstorage and access them from anywhere with any computer.
